Who We Are
Daniel and Jessica Fenescey are a husband-and-wife team brought together with a similar mission that was planted in each of their hearts. Growing up, Jessica and Dan, were the type of people that took the road less traveled. They believed that they were meant for more…that they were meant to leave their mark on the world in some kind of positive, and lasting way. The stars aligned for each of them when Daniel, a good ol’ country boy from the small town of Windsor, NY, also an army infantry veteran, found himself an adventurous young city girl with dreams as big as her heart. They met, fell in love, and six months later, on June 25th, 2019 they were married. Together, they have a beautiful, blended family of four daughters.
Before moving to the country, Jessica was in her 4th year of running a nature summer program for kids that she’d created and worked herself in the suburbs of Syracuse called, Wild Essence Workshops. And Daniel, recently retired after helping serve his country, knew his time serving wasn’t over. Together, they felt called to help serve and uplift their local community in creative and compassionate ways that would bring people of all different ages and walks of life together. Then it all kind of happened.
The adventure of starting their own farm began humbly, as something small that could sustain their family. Throughout the season, they saw the abundance of food that was being harvested, quickly they realized that part of their purpose, their mission, was to grow and give away free & fresh organic produce to their community. From a simple roadside table, they grew into a roadside walk-in farmstand, officially becoming The Farmology Stand, LLC and certified nursery in 2022. In 2023, Jessica's pursuit of knowledge led her to become a Master Gardener through the Cornell Cooperative Extensions program at Cutler Botanical Gardens in Binghamton, New York, furthering their capacity to nurture their farm and gardens and the community.
Throughout their journey, their dreams for their land and community continued to grow as they shared more life experience and adventures together. As a photographer, Jessica has always had an eye for beautiful things. Dan and Jess love to travel. They love to experience new places, meet new faces, and explore unique and authentic spots wherever they go. Their love for meeting new people and gaining deeper connections with others inspired them to come up with their next idea…They wanted to share the beautiful space they were creating with others. In 2022 the two of them began the build for their AirBnb glamping site, out in the wooded pines with a view of the Susquehanna River just down the bank of the canopied covered hillside. Understanding the healing energy that nature brings, they wanted to combine their love for holistic and healing type practices, their farm and gardens, and the AirBnb for a unique and immersive guest experience.
Not only are they inviting guests to come and stay for a rustic getaway. They are inviting those who feel called to share, and/or teach their own unique gift, skills, and knowledge to come host a retreat, workshop, class, or gathering. Another part of their mission and purpose is to create a sacred space that is intended to be a place of collaboration and connection. Their mission extends to co-creating with anyone who is driven to manifest their dreams, believing in the power of community to amplify impact. Their journey is just beginning, and they invite you to stay tuned and connected as they continue to grow and share their vision with the world.
